Privacy Policy

NexLedger ("we", "us") is an accounting and personal finance service provided at ledger.nexbiz.in. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, optional mobile number, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Data you enter: accounts, transactions, budgets, loans, investments, clients, invoices, quotations and similar records, plus files you attach such as receipts.
- Payment details: subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation and a payment reference; we do not see or store your card or bank credentials.
- Technical data: basic logs (such as IP address and browser) used to keep the service secure and to find and fix faults.
How we use it
- To provide the service: show your records, calculate totals, generate invoices and reports.
- To email you one-time codes, reminders, receipts and service notices.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal or financial data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
Each customer's records are kept separate and are visible only to that customer. A small number of administrators can access the system in order to operate and support it. Where you ask us for help, we may view the relevant records to resolve it. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to run the service (hosting, email delivery and payment processing).
Backups and retention
The database is backed up automatically every night so we can recover from failures. We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data, after which it is removed from the live system and ages out of backups within a reasonable period.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, optional one-time-code sign-in, and per-customer data separation. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep it private.
Your choices
You can view and edit your information in the app, export your data, and ask us to correct or delete it by raising a support ticket from inside your account.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
